This Is Albania is free to read and is funded by affiliate commission. This page sets out exactly how that works, because you should be able to see it rather than guess at it.

How it works

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you follow one and go on to book, the company pays a commission. You pay the same price as you would going direct. Nothing is added to your bill and no discount is withheld from you.

Affiliate links are marked in the page code with the sponsored attribute, the standard way of declaring a commercial link.

What commission does not affect

This is the part that matters. Commission does not decide which destinations appear here, the order they are shown in, what the pages say about them, or what the trip finder suggests for you.

The site carries no inventory and sells nothing directly, so there is no stock that needs moving. Telling you that three days is enough somewhere, or that a place is overrated in August, earns this site less rather than more. That is exactly why it gets said.

No paid placements

No hotel, restaurant, operator or agency has paid to be featured or written about here. Sponsored posts are not accepted and links are not sold. If that ever changes, this page changes with it, and anything paid for will be labelled where it appears.
